The camera offers bidirectional possibilities. For every actor (well, maybe for every twenty) who wants to jump behind and direct, there is a director who is willing (or even eager) to do some acting. This week, El'Ahrai and John take a look at the Top 5 Directors Who've Acted! Plus! Reviews of "Piranha 3-D", "The Switch", and "The Evil Dead"! I subscribe to the law of contrary public opinion. If everyone thinks one thing, then I say, bet the other way. Comments[0]

Typecasting is the bane and boon of an actor's existence. While it can mean steady, regular work (like John Wayne), it can also mean an unfortunate limiting of opportunities (like John Wayne). This week, John and El'Ahrai run down lists of the Top 5 Actors Who Need To Be Cast Against Type. Also, the Famous Monsters of Filmland Interview Series concludes with a talk with Kevin Burns. Plus! Reviews of "Scott Pilgrim vs. The World" and "City Island"! Sorry we're a few hours late, there, Ma, but you know how the kids...uh...hate old people. Comments[0]

Anticipation can be a curiously double-edged sword. If the event turns out well, it's the appetizer to a memorable experience. If something goes wrong, anticipation sours to disappointment. This week, El'Ahrai and John take another swing at Five Movies That Disappointed. Also, the Famous Monsters of Filmland Interview Series continues with Cerina Vincent, Danielle Harris, and Kristina Klebe. Plus! Reviews of "The Other Guys" and "Kalifornia"! The SAS are absolutely charming. Ruthless trained killers are just a phone call away. Comments[0]

The WABAC Machine sent John and El'Ahrai hurtling through time once more this week, and they landed in 1966! While they work overtime to alter their wardrobes to match Carnaby Street's finest, they also run down that year's movies. Also, the Famous Monsters of Filmland Interview Series continues with Mick Garris and George Demick & Andie Noir. Plus! Reviews of "The Shelter", "Dinner for Schmucks", and "Horrorotica". I hope that was an empty bottle, George! You can't afford to waste good liquor, not on YOUR salary! Comments[0]

The San Diego Comic-Con has come and gone for another year (and we're still waiting for some deep-pocketed listener to send us to cover it in person). The next best thing, then, is to deliver lists of the Top 5 Announcements from San Diego. Also, the Famous Monsters of Filmland Interview Series continues with Kane Hodder and Robert Cappaleto & David Schmidt. Plus! Reviews of "Salt", "Pickman's Muse" and "House of Black Wings"! I had a very strong work ethic. The problem was my ethics in work. Comments[0]
